Resilience, Reinvention and Kindness with Tiffanee Cook
I recently joined Tiffanee Cook on her podcast Roll With the Punches for a warm and lively chat about resilience, reinvention, kindness, and how we keep showing up when life gets a bit sideways.
We spoke about the strange and often messy business of rebuilding after major life changes, including my decision to leave policing after 24 years, the identity shift that followed, and the unexpected path that led me into writing, speaking, and building The Kind Rebellion.
The conversation also touched on some of the ideas behind my work, including why kindness should never be confused with weakness, how we stay human under pressure, and what it can take to hold onto our values when the systems around us don’t always reflect them back.
I’m grateful to Tiff for such an open, thoughtful, and generous conversation. Roll With the Punches is built around real stories, honest reflection, and the kind of human messiness that makes us all feel a little less alone, so it was a pleasure to be part of it.
